On November 6, 2023, Joseph S. Black, devoted father, husband, son and friend, passed away at the age of 58. He was the first of 2 children born to Curtis and Edna Black, on Oct. 31 1965 in San Diego California. Loving owner of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named “Nigel the Noble of Blackshire” who is currently 12 years old. His nickname for Nigel was “Pookie Snot”. Missing his daddy terribly.
He grew up in San Diego California until the age of 11 when the family moved to Houston Texas. He is a graduate of Aldine High School class of 1983. After joining the Marines in 1983 and receiving an honorable discharge, he obtained an Associates degree in Electronics in 1989.
He worked for the last 32 years as a IT Systems Analyst in the medical field in Houston.
He was a collector of Curio and Relic fire arms and was very interested in Japanese films and Japanese sword collecting.
List organizations he was part of or participated in. Civil Air Patrol, NW San Jacinto High Rollers Motorcycle club and then at one time President of Pair-a-dice Motorcycle Club. He loved riding and working on his motorcycle. After a long period of down time due to health reasons, one of his best brothers helped him get it back on the road. This was the happiest any of us had seen him in years.
Left to cherish his memories in his immediate family are Mother Edna Mae Black, Brother George Richard Black. Son Harland David Black and Spouse Sandra Kay Black. Other family members surviving Joe are his mothers 3 sisters. Minnie, Pat and Norma. He was preceded in death by his father Curtis Richard Black.
He is gone but never forgotten, leaving his loving memories in our hearts forever.
