Juan Marroquin

JUAN MARROQUIN , 70, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2019.  He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends who will never forget his strength and spirit.

Juan was born on May 7, 1949 to Francisco and Rosa Marroquin in Allende, N.L. Mexico.  He graduated college from El Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey, N.L. Mexico.  Juan married the love of his life, Alicia Cavazos, in 1973.  They moved to Houston, TX that same year where he began working as a machinist with Apex.  He soon started his own machine shop and proudly operated Marroquin Machine Works from 1985 to present.

God blessed Juan with charisma and a loving heart.  Numerous family and friends knew him as a man they could always depend on in their life.   Juan loved spending time cooking and being outdoors with his family and the friends from his shop.  He treated everyone with respect and integrity.  This past May, Juan and Alicia celebrated their 70th birthday’s together with family in Montemorelos, N.L. Mexico.   Juan’s last moments where spent at his favorite place in La Grange, Texas enjoying his passion for hunting.

Juan was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Rosa Marroquin and his father-in-law, Francisco Cavazos.  He is survived by his loving wife, Alicia Marroquin, their two sons: Juan Marroquin, and his wife Melissa; and Aaron Marroquin, and his wife Henrike; and four adored grandchildren: Claire, Joseph, Coraline and Carley; his brother: Martin and his wife Carmela, and his sister: Apolonia Ramos and her husband Jose.  Juan is also survived by his mother-in-law: Alicia Cavazos and many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews whom he loved.
