The family of Juanita B. Grier announces her passing on Saturday, July 21, 2018 in Houston, TX at the age of 80 years.
Juanita was born on September 14, 1937. She married Norman Grier, and they have seven children. The home she created was peaceful, loving, and full of sounds of life and joy. Juanita strongly believed in family. She loved her mother, her sister was her best friend, and she supported her children’s interest wholeheartedly. Juanita taught her children spiritual and practical lessons of life, and she believed in a path of continual education.
Mom had a high moral character – integrity, respect, and she projected love for God, Family, and Self. She gave her very best. She was a humble and quiet lady who was a vigilant supporter of equal rights. Juanita enjoyed cooking, reading, and gardening anything that flowered (especially roses). She was a loyal fan of the Philadelphia Eagles Football Team, but her greatest joy was when God granted her grandchildren.
Juanita will be lovingly remembered by her children, Norma Lynn (Don), Judy, Norman Ernest (Selina), Lisa (Stephen), Derek, Brian (Sherry Ann), and Trina. Left with precious memories are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kristin, Lark (Josef), Grier (Tamar), Gabriel, Jordon, Gerrod, Brian Jr., Isaiah, Brandon, Antoinette, Glorious, Xena, and Lennox.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held for Juanita Grier on Saturday, August 11, 2018, 10 am – 12 pm at Ora L. Wooster Funeral Home, 51 Park Blvd., Clementon, NJ 08021, (856) 783-0714.
