Laura Gale (Abernathy) Bustamento

Laura Gale Bustamento, 74 was born in Houston Texas on October 24, 1944 and died on June 6, 2019 in Houston, Texas after being sick for some time.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Frances Abernathy, her husband of 47 years, James Bustamento, daughter Marie Brinkley, siblings Mary Franks, Charles Abernathy and Evelyn Watson.

Gale is survived by daughter Rhonda Renee Keys and husband Thomas, son Dewayne Bustamento, stepdaughters Vicki Howell and husband Ted, Debbie Bustamento and stepson James Bustamento and wife Cheryl. Grandchildren Alexis, Brendan, Scott, Ken, Rebecca, Shane, Bridgette, Angie, Ashley, Amanda and 27 great grandchildren. Two brothers Sam Abernathy and Henry Abernathy, and also many special nieces and nephews.

Gale worked for Safeway grocery store in Houston, Texas for 23 years where she retired from.

She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, cooking, and loved watching movies.  She enjoyed playing poker with her husband James and his family before he became sick.

Gale will be missed but not forgotten…
