Lee A. Tews

On Thursday, June 24, 2021, Lee Arnold Tews, devoted husband and brother, passed away at the age of 67 after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Melrose Park, Illinois, to Margaret and Arthur Tews, on May 31, 1954.

Lee’s childhood years began in Maywood and Lombard Illinois, western suburbs of Chicago. In the 8th grade, the family moved to Charleston South Carolina where Lee completed public education.  After high school, Lee attended the University of Chicago and the University of Southern Illinois in Carbondale where he earned a degree in communications.  Lee organized several campus concerts during his years in Carbondale.

Following graduation, Lee found work in California as a concert promoter and then moved to Houston Texas to once again be near his parents and siblings living there.  In Houston Lee began a successful career in Real Estate which lasted the rest of his life.

Also in Houston Lee met the love of his life, Cindy, whom he married on June 22 1991 and celebrated his 30th wedding anniversary with her before his passing.

Lee enjoyed golf, cooking and working on rental property.  He also enjoyed visiting old friends and cousins around the country.

Lee attended Sunday morning worship services at Saint John’s Lutheran Church and always met his mother there until her passing in 2008.

Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 30 years, Cindy, brothers Delart, Donald, and Paul and numerous friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Margaret Tews.

He is gone but will never be forgotten, leaving his loving memories in all our hearts forever.

Visitation will be at Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home on Friday, July 2nd at 1:00pm.  A memorial service will follow at the Funeral Home at 2:00pm.
