Linda Arlene Cruz

Linda was born on August 4, 1967 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Robert and Arlene Cruz. She was raised in League City, Texas. Linda went to Clear Creek High School and graduated with a Cosmetology certificate. She later attended basic training at Lackland Air Force base in Texas, and then worked as an accountant in the Air Force base at Dover, Delaware. Following her career in the Air Force, Linda joined the nursing program at Lone Star College to obtain her degree as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, after which she began a 30 year nursing career. She lived an incredibly full life of compassion and service to everyone she came in to contact with. She had a great love for her dogs and has volunteered at multiple veterinary clinics and shelters to help groom and care for them – while opening her home to many as well. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her parents, Robert and Arlene Cruz, her brothers, Robert and sister-in-law Renee, Ricky, and Randy and sister-in-law April, and her two daughters, Charisse and Chanyell. May her soul rest in everlasting peace.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home located at 9926 Jones Road Houston, Texas 77065 with Minister Sammy Crosby officiating.

In lieu of the usual remembrances, Linda's family requests that donations be made to Friends For Life Animal Shelter & Sanctuary (friends4life.org)
