Beloved wife, mother, and educator Lucy Mary Sefcik, 66, of Jersey Village, passed away Monday, August 26, 2019.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at St. Timothy’s Anglican Church in Spring, TX on Saturday, August 31, at 11:00 am.
Born February 19, 1952, in Galveston, Texas, Lucy spent her early career teaching elementary school and middle students at Private church schools and later in public school. She earned her Master’s in Library Science in 2005 and continued serving her community as a librarian until her retirement in 2011.
Lucy enjoyed a variety of hobbies ranging from knitting ornaments for her church group to calligraphy to playing online games with her grandsons. Her family has many fond memories of summers spent with her enjoying her favorite beaches. She was an active member of St. Timothy’s Anglican Church women’s group.
Lucy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ronald; her son Todd Sefcik, and her son and his wife Daniel and Amy Sefcik, and her grandsons, David, and Gavin Sefcik. She also leaves behind a brother, Bruce Kevil, his wife Roseanne; a sister, Katherine Wade, her husband Pat; and 3 step-sisters Charlotte, Mellissa, Melinda and a step-brother Leslie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including Christopher Kevil, Jennifer Kevil, Luke Wade, Jessica Wade Clark, and Jordan Wade.
