Mark Clayton Smith

Mark Clayton Smith was born to Richard and Song Smith on November 3, 1974 in Houston, TX. He passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Houston Methodist Hospital at the age of 46. Mark was a lifelong Houstonian and a 1994 graduate of Cy-Fair High School (BFND) where he was a valued member of the football team as tight end. Mark was a 19-year employee of Hanger Clinic (formerly Dynamic Orthotics & Prosthetics), where he skillfully crafted custom orthotic devices that improved the lives of countless people. He took pride in his work and enjoyed the company of his coworkers. Mark thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, surfing, camping, and hunting, loved his family, and adored his wife, son, and dog, Billy. 

Mark is survived by his wife, Gloria, and son, Colton, mother, Song, in addition to sisters, Kimberly Tuttle and husband Jim of Jupiter, Florida, and Sandy Schwarz of Houston and brother, Ryan and wife Angela of Houston. He is also survived by seven nephews and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Smith.

Respects can be paid during a memorial service at Bayou City Fellowship on Telge Road in Cypress, TX on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 2 p.m.
