Marvin Dennis Zwerneman

Marvin Dennis Zwerneman was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 4, 2019.

Marvin was born in Seguin, Texas, on December 18, 1938 to the late Erna and Walter Zwerneman. He married the love of his life, Susan, March of 1968 in Houston.  He blessed her with memories, smiles, love and two sons. He had a successful career as an Iron Worker and was a member of Iron Workers Local 84 for over 58 years.  Some of his milestones were hanging the structural steel for the Astrodome, Williams Tower, the South Texas Nuclear Power Plant and the Gulf Plant in Baytown.

You could find him cheering at hockey games, swim meets, or coaching little league baseball n his younger years.  He often helped fix the cars of the neighborhood kids.  He never met a stranger, and made you smile when you saw him.

He has now joined his son Mike in heaven, and will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 51 years, Susan; his son, Brian; grandchildren: Hannah and Zach; sister Tina, brother Charles; and many other relatives.

Services will at The Community of Faith Church on Thursday, June 13, 2019.  Family will receive visitors at 9 am, with the service to follow at 10 am. Interment to follow at Houston National Cemetery.
