Burial will be following from 11-11:30 AM at Carmen Nelson Bostick Cemetery. Matt Jackson was born on November 29, 1964 to Bobba, and Wayne Jackson. He was the youngest of four brothers; Mitch, Mike, and Monte Jackson. He was born in Hobbs New Mexico, and moved with his family to Odessa, TX, where he enjoyed playing golf, the “Friday night lights” of the Permian High School football games, and driving the biggest truck in Odessa, everywhere he could.
In 1989 he met the love of his life, Sarah Jackson, whom he had two boys with; Matthew, and Zachary Jackson.
He worked with his brothers at Kykendall Wireline as a wireline operator, and sales man until 2005, when the Business closed its doors. He went on to work for Grey Wireline in Houston, TX and eventually helped Sarah in starting her business, Global Compressor. He continued to work there until he passed. He loved his family, and taking his boys hunting and to shoot various types of firearms, the bigger, the better!
His true passion however, was Golf. He had a true talent for it, and kept multiple 1st place trophies as a testament to that fact. He lived life fast, on his terms, and quite often with no filter. He was a dedicated father, husband, brother, and son-in-law, who made sure that if you were in a bind, he would always have your back.
Matt will be greatly missed by his family, and friends. Matt is survived by his three brothers, Michael Wayne and wife, Barbara, Mitchell Lane and wife, Valerie, and Monte Joe. He is also survived by his sons, Zachary, and Matthew Jackson, as well as their mother, Sarah Aden Jackson.
