Maya Alexandra Servin

On Wednesday, March 11th, 2020, our world became filled with immense sadness with the unexpected passing of our beautiful Maya.  More that our beloved daughter, she was also a cherished granddaughter, a treasured sister, an adored niece and a dear cousin.  Maya was truly a gift being born just two days after Mother's Day in 2004 on May 11th.  Even her initials (MAS, which means more in Spanish) embody her natural ability to amplify all that she touched.

Her sweet down to earth disposition made her a true delight.  An intelligent and funny young lady, Maya always stayed true to herself.  Never afraid to blaze her own path and embrace her uniqueness.  As sweet as she was sassy, she never hesitated to speak her mind.  

She enjoyed listening, singing and dancing to music form the 50's and 60's, performing in theater, doing jigsaw puzzles, sewing and shopping.  Her other loves included fashion, chocolate and Paris, France.  Being she was a talented strong minded individual, she often coined new and original catchphrases that our family still uses.  

Her smile was refreshingly radiant and her laugh, overwhelming contagious.  Maya was Maya.  She was simply aMAYAzing!  At 15, she definitely earned her wings way before we were ready to let her go.  Now our sweet angel flies high to illuminate the sky like she did our lives.
