MELBER (Melba) JEAN PEARL WALLACE
Melba Jean Pearl Wallace was called to the LORD at age 82 on Thursday, October 10, 2019 in Columbus, Texas after a lengthy battle of illnesses. Melba was born in Carmine, Texas on August 3, 1937 to Herbert and Freida Sanders. She was baptized on August 21, 1937 in Giddings, Texas. She was confirmed on April 6, 1952 by Pastor Keiper at St Mark’s Lutheran Church. On June 11, 1955 she married Charles Wallace in Houston, Texas, also by Pastor Keiper at St Mark’s Lutheran Church.
Melba retired as a secretary for Western Auto after many years of service. She enjoyed gardening with Charles, camping & fishing with her family and absolutely enjoyed her deer hunting.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wallace and parents, Herbert and Freida Sanders. Survivors include her daughters, Thresa Kovar and husband Johnny of Columbus, TX; Sheila Concilio and husband Mike of Grapeland, TX; Four grandchildren (to which she was known as Grandma Cypress) Michael Concilio and Jennifer of Grapeland, TX; Justin Concilio of Grapeland, TX; April Thornton and husband Brandon of Grapeland, TX and Cody Kovar and wife Lauren of Katy, TX. Two Great Grandsons, Gage Concilio of Palestine, TX and Kallen Kovar of Katy, TX. Six Great Granddaughters, Bailey Thornton and Allie Thronton of Grapeland TX; Emma Concilio of Grapeland, TX; Kalli Kovar of Katy, TX; Ansley McCreary of Grapeland, TX. and Aspyn Palemer of Grapeland, TX. Two brothers, Bootsie Sanders of Magnolia, TX. and Herbert (Jr.) Sanders Jr. of Montgomery, TX. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.
