Michael Lane, 1960-2017. After a courageous battle with cancer, Michael “Mike” Lane entered Heaven on September 21, 2017 at the age of 57. Mike was born July 4, 1960 in Houston, Texas to Leroy and Tennie Lane. Mike is preceded in death by his son Gregory and his father Leroy. He is survived by his loving wife Tracy, mother Tennie, step-son Matthew Havard, grandchildren Amber and Jacob, and family members Chelsea, Lisa Blue and Stephen.

Mike was a serious barbecuer who won several local barbecue cook-offs. He enjoyed camping with his family and spending time outdoors. Mike was an avid Texans and Astros fan.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home at 9926 Jones Road in Houston. Graveside services will be Monday, September 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston 77039.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Mike’s name.
