I googled Mike Wiseley because I remembered today was his birthday, & I wondered what had become of him. I’m saddened to see it led me to his obituary. I rejoice to see that he found a good life with a family that I know was something he longed for. Mike & I were friends in the early 80s in Woodward, OK. We belonged to the same Singles Sunday school & were baptized the same day-1-11-86 I believe. I remember Mike as friendly, talkative, and full of curiosity and questions. I never knew what became of him after he left Woodward-and I’ sad for your loss-I have walked that same journey, but I rejoice in the knowledge he has a Heavenly home! Deepest sympathies to your family-an old friend from Oklahoma, Kelie Grounds

To the family of Mike,
I just happened upon his obituary as I happened to remember today was his birthday and I wondered where he’d gone with his life. I knew Mike when we were young singles living in Woodward, Oklahoma and we attended the same church and Sunday School. I am so sad to learn of his passing...but delighted to know that he had a family and other great earthly treasures such as work he enjoyed and good friends. I remember Mike as friendly, smart and inquisitive. He had many questions about many things, and he took quite a spiritual journey. We both were baptized into First Baptisti church Woodward on January 11 in 1986 I believe.
I was married there a few years later and Mike moved on to bigger & better things. I’m so sorry for your loss, I have experienced that as well, but I know first hand that he left with a home in Heaven where he will celebrate Jesus & look forward to seeing all of you one day. With deepest sympathies, Kelie (Patee-Rutledge) Grounds, of Oklahoma

Carrie,
I am deeply saddened by the passing of Michael. I always considered Michael a friend, confident and brother. Though I first met Michael professionally when he worked at Total our connections spanned many years prior . A myriad of professional linkages somehow brought us together. And the mutual love for our daughters help to further intertwine our paths.

Many interpersonal discussions over strategic games of chess, go and chemical end-games furthered our relationship. I found myself not only advising Michael on business but on how I was raising my precious Matilde and often shared and gleaned advice on how he was raising Atom and Alaina. Even after I sold my company and retired I would meet Michael for "business" but really we jist met to share our lives. Whether it was a call about Blendvalue, contracts, Tae Kwon Do for the kids, or his Masonic adventure, Michael and I huddled like children playing out adventures before we had to rush back to our more serious commitments. Whether it was Chess or Go or rearing children or smoothing professional chasms or playing raquet sports with french colleagues or what not, Michael and I were buddies and always will be. I visited Michael in his first round of chemo and advised him on spending as much time as he could with you all and forgetting about his work. In fact, when he first told me about cancer I immediately went to the hospital and asked him if we were robbing banks or stealing Ferraris or having a pep talk as I was game. Even in such a serious setting we laughed and escaped the world with our fantastical slants of the world. If there is anything I can ever do for you guys please do not hesitate to contact me as I am sure he would do the same for mine. Very sincerly yours and with love always.
