Nadine Anne Patterson

Nadine Anne Patterson passed to her next life peacefully Saturday morning, March 13, 2021. She was 92 years old. She was born on January, 28, 1929 in Brooklyn, N.Y. She lived in Brooklyn, NY; Cleveland, OH; and in Houston TX since 1972. Despite living in Houston for nearly 50 years, Nadine never really considered herself a Texan, but always considered herself a ‘Brooklyn girl’.

Visitation with her family is scheduled for Wednesday 24Mar21 from 3:00pm to 5:30pm at Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home. A Mass will be said in her name Thursday, 25Mar21 at 10:00am, at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church. A meal will be served afterwards in the Parish Activity Center. Only immediate family will be invited to the graveside that afternoon.

She will be remembered for her love of children, animals, and cooking, in that order. Anyone who knew her understood that food was her ‘language of love’. She was a member of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, ad an active member of the St Jerome’s senior group.

Nadine is survived by her son, Bill Patterson and daughter-in-law, Brenna Patterson, her daughter, Kathy Chase and her son-in-law, Michael Chase; five grandchildren, Meagan Davis, Michael Jo Chase, Lauren Brown, Amanda Bacala and Sara Mielke; and nine great grandchildren, Phoenix Davis, Elliot Davis, Charlotte Davis, Marcus Mielke, Emery Mielke, Oscar Brown, Evie Brown, Isaac Brown and Bennett Brown and her brother, Jack Barrett.

Nadine was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Barrett, husband, William Patterson, her son Robert Patterson, and her niece Alyson Barrett.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Nadine’s honor to the ‘Smile Train’.
