Nehad Y. (Marouf) Khnouf

Nehad Marouf Khnouf was a caring, loving, compassionate, joyful, and faithful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world  on August 31,  2021 at the age of  66.

She was born on December 22, 1954. She devoted her life to her 6 daughters and only son.  She loved to be called Em George for the pride she takes in her only beloved son George Khnouf. Her daughters; Victoria, Manal, Raja, Georgette, Hadeel and Mariam were the love of her life, her soul mates and best friends.She's always referred to each of her daughters as unique types of flowers growing in her own garden.  Nehad was blessed to help raise 11 grandkids. Her youngest grandson baby Jubrano was her pride and joy. 

Nehad's strongest gift ware her generosity and outstanding hospitality in serving others. She loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. She also had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and planting, sewing, traveling, baking, listening to music,  and  watching her Arabic cooking shows and Turkish  series were some of the things she enjoyed doing. 

Her strong Christian faith was her anchor and what defined her journey. She clung to her savior and Lord and had a very personal relationship with Him. She declared her faith and was never shy to share it with others. Nehad raised her family to love and serve God and has always encouraged her family to engage in God's word daily. 

Proverbs 31 sums Nehad's life :

10 An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels.

15 She rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household.

17 She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong. 

18 Her lamp does not go out at night.

25 Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.

26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.

28 Her children rise up and call her blessed;

29 “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”

30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.

Nehad Khnouf's  funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on September 3,  2021 at the Saint George Orthodox Church. Followed by the burial service at The Memorial Oaks Cemetery at 4:00 pm. 

We praise God for her life and we are grateful to be raised by such a wonderful, humble and godly soul. Proud to call you mama and your story will be with us forever. May your soul rest in peace Em George.
