Aunt Bonnie was a precious person. Loved her beautiful eyes and smile. She was a great person to talk about Jesus to whenever I saw her at mom's house. We will miss her.

Batter up! Come springtime there was nothing going to keep this beautiful woman down. As soon as she could hear the familiar sound of a crack of a Houston Astros' bat, she was in 7th heaven: a true die-hard Astros' fan. Bonnie knew everyone on the team from the rookies to the old-hats. She would be so happy to sit and talk the game stats with too! It's a shame we never had the pleasure of attending a game with her, but when the Astros were in town we were vicariously sitting with Bonnie.

Bonnie was the next best thing to having a "Grammy" for Morgan, Marshal and Matthew. In fact, we always considered her their "Texas Grammy." She always remembered their birthdays and treated them as her own at the holidays too. Matthew remembers her as humble and joyful. Marshal says she was proud and prayerful. Morgan just shares his love for her deeply as he feels he was her first grandchild!

A lot of people could learn a lot from her. Her experiences growing up and the tales she would tell were both unbelievable and hard to believe. There were times in her life that she didn't exactly love it; but Bonnie always made the best of her situations. As a grown woman she had many stories about being a nurse and the people she met that affected her life - a vice versa. Always an independent and strong woman, she taught us all how to "stay calm and carry on."

Bonnie, you will be dearly missed, and we knew you'd make through the season. To finally see your team win the World Series ... you ARE in heaven! Let's go Astros!
