Olga Olinda Avila

Olga Olinda Villarreal Avila, age 57, lost her fight and passed away peacefully October 8, 2021 from complications of COVID.

Olga was born January 20, 1964 to Alonzo and Agustina Villarreal in Harlingen, TX.  She grew up in Houston and spent many days on the family ranch in Giddings, TX.

Graduated from Cypress Creek High School in 1982.

Olga for many years worked for many companies doing just about anything clerical.  It was not until she had her daughter, Evelyn, that she wanted to work for a school district.  Olga spent 10 years with Cy-Fair ISD and went to work for her alumni Cypress Creek High.  At the time of her passing, she worked for Katy ISD for 2 years.

Olga was the family matriarch after her mother passed.  She loved being a mom and was very proud aunt and sister.  She enjoyed working on her planners with her sisters, Elena and Patricia and niece Christina.  She always loved doing the crafty stuff; also loved Elvis, vacationing and always up for any kind of road trip.

Olga was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jesse M. Avila, her parents and Brother Alfredo Bautista.

Survived by her daughter Evelyn Andrea Avila, Jonathan Alexander Avila (son of Jesse), siblings Benita Baez, Jose Luis Villarreal, Miquel A. Villarreal (Delmy), Patricia A. Villarreal, Rosa Elena Loveland (Tim), Leonzo D Villarreal (Kelli), Elideo Garcia (Patricia), numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and an overabundance of family and lifelong friends.

Olga’s wishes are to have her ashes spread on the mountainside and this will be planned at a later date.
