Arlene Opal Graves, age 94, was found asleep in Christ, Thursday, March 11th,2021.
Born May 3rd ,1926 in Ruston Louisiana to Daniel Ryon and Bessie Mae McElduff.
Survived by her daughter, Starla Jean Newton and Son-in-law, Richard J. Newton; Grandchildren: Christopher Paul Vana II and Bonnie Joy Randolph; Great-Grandchildren: Alora Vana, Joseph, Benjamin, Rachel, Elizabeth and Anna Randolph.
Predeceased by her late husband, Lisle Edwin Graves whom she lovingly referred to as H.Bun(Honey Bun); Sons: (Sonny) Kester Denmon Johnson, (Snooky) Charles Chinski Jr., (Danny) Daniel Rhine Chinski and her 5 siblings.
A woman of faith in Jesus Christ, a stay at home mom and homemaker who loved spending time with family and friends.
She was always singing a tune or writing thoughts and lyrics for songs on notepad paper and putting them in her house dress pockets and then plucking out a melody on the piano to go along.
Some of her favorite things included: Singing, dancing, fishing, gardening, picture puzzles, crossword puzzles and playing cards or Yahtzee.
Though not wealthy in finances or material things, her motto and request for her final place of rest is, “We had it all”.
