Parnell “Peaches” Saunders-Patel, 78, of Cypress Texas, went home to our Heavenly Father on the morning of November 01, 2021. She was born in Kingston, Jamaica West Indies on July 06, 1943 to Asbert and Lileith Anderson. She was the youngest girl of four siblings, Proxy Saunders, Arthur Anderson, Rupert Anderson, and Owen Anderson. She was preceded in death by Arthur and Rupert Anderson and both parents. Peaches worked as an insurance sales person in Jamaica but dreamt of a better life in the states which meant leaving her home.
In 1968 she followed her older sister to the United States by moving to Chicago. She attended business school and specialized in accounting which allowed her to obtain a position with Blue Cross/Blue Shield. She worked for Blue Cross for 15 years where she had many accomplishments and made life long friends. She treasured many of those friends until her passing. After leaving Blue Cross she began her second career as the Financial Coordinator of a group of nursing homes, Crestwood Nursing Home for another 15 years.
Peaches enjoyed a full life of love and laughter with family and friends. After becoming a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in April 1986, she became a devout and active member with The Healing Ministry.
