Rev. Pyung Jong Ahn (1937.02.20 ~ 2020.06.12)
He was a pastor who sincerely loved Jesus & God’s Words during his whole life. He was a pastor, writer and photographer.
He joined the Korean Navy in 1958. While he was serving the Korean Navy as a PO (Petty Officer), he met the Jesus Christ in his life and decided to serve the Lord. Then he studied and graduated the theological school in 1972. He started his new career as an army chaplain in 1973. Since he served God as a sincere servant, he showed us what is the faithful way to follow Jesus Christ & live in this world as a true Christian. He built several civilian churches after his chaplain service in South Korea. He was invited by one of his daughters to move to USA in 2002. His life in USA was not different even it was a new experience & challenge for him. He always tried to guide his friends, neighbors to believe in God.
He served several local Korean Churches in Texas as a retired pastor. He was also talented writer & photographer. He published a pictorial poem book.
He was not just a pastor but also writer & real hero who served God, taken care of his family. He had 1 son & 2 daughters. All of them grown up as faithful Christians by his dedicated care. He was a real role model to his children & others.
He will be remembered & missed by all who have been known him….
