Robert Kenneth Heagy

              Robert Kenneth “Ken” Heagy was born on Jan. 5, 1953 in Midland, TX.  He joined God’s angels on September 12, 2018. He grew up in Midland and Odessa, TX. Ken was a graduate of Midland-Lee High School and went on to attend Texas Tech University in Lubbock, where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering Technology in 1975. After college, he moved to Houston where worked at Dayton Superior for 35 years. In his younger years, Ken enjoyed playing golf and he was always a big sports fan. You could always catch him watch the Red Raiders on Saturday and Texans on Sunday. He also enjoyed the Astros and Rockets.

              Ken married his loving wife Maggie in 1991 and they shared 27 beautiful years together. Together they enjoyed traveling, watching trivia game shows, and spending time with family and friends. Ken even taught Maggie to share his love of golf. Often times, their travels included a visit to one of the PGA Tournament golf courses.

              Ken is preceded in death by his parents John Chester Heagy and Juanita Willoughby Heagy. He is survived by his wife Margaret “Maggie” Turcotte Heagy, his stepson Robert “Rob” Sams, and granddaughter Brenna Sams of Houston. He is also survived by his brother John David Heagy and stepmother Doris Gragson Heagy of Lubbock, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Ken was a wonderful man who was loved by many. 

              In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local Salvation Army or Honoring Hope and Faith Rescue of Houston.
