Robert Allen Moore

Robert Allen Moore passed away May 20, 2022 surrounded by his wife and family who loved him dearly. 

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Charlene Moore, his son Robert Moore, Jr., daughter Erin Moore Lutich, her husband Chris R. Lutich, son Britt Smithson, his wife Tania, son Mitch Smithson, his wife Cyndi, daughter Shelley Smithson and sister-in-law Deanna Moore.  He was especially proud of his seven grandsons and four granddaughters.  He is preceded by his father Horace Moore, mother Ednah Moore, brother Mac Moore and son Kevin Smithson.

Robert was born July 20, 1942 in Houston where he grew up.  Many knew him as an avid Astros baseball fan, but the Colt 45’s hooked him as a boy.  He graduated from Lamar High School in 1960.  He studied at University of Houston and graduated as a Chemical Engineer in 1967. He later became a licensed Professional Engineer.  He worked as an engineer for many years, mostly in Texas, but also as far away as South Korea.  Later in life, he volunteered with several ministries helping the needy and with the Between Jobs Ministry.
