Robert Tagle Rena

Robert Tagle Rena, age 79 a machinist and vintage truck restorer, of Robstown Texas, passed away on September 27, 2021 in Houston Texas, surrounded by his family.

Robert was preceded in death, by his loving wife (of 44 yrs.) Adele Rena, parents Mr. and Mrs. Rodolfo and Francisca Rena.  Also his 5 sisters Ester Ramos, Isabela (Chavela) Pantoja, Maria Perez, Alicia (Licha) Rena, Francis (Kika) Cantu, and 3 brothers Rodolfo (Fito) Rena, Jose (Pepe) Rena, Mike Rena. Robert leaves to mourn his death 4 children, son Robert Joe, daughters Veronica “Ronnie” Brown (Anthony), Yvonne Rena (Jody), Stephanie Lori Pelz (Luis). 11 grandchildren, and 9 Great grandchildren.

Robert was the pride and joy on December 8, 1941 to Mr. and Mrs. Rodolfo and Francisca Rena. The last born of nine children.  They raised him in a small town by the name of Robstown Texas where he attended Petronila Elementary and met a young girl by the name of Adele.  After discovering the true meaning of love their courtship grew to become a great union on July 30, 1962. Bringing four beautiful children into this world.  Robert hard work and dedication to his family led him to working as a machinist throughout his life.  With the love for his family, he made unforgettable memories that would last a lifetime. 

Robert was a devoted husband and father, who enjoyed old Chevrolet trucks. The passion for these old trucks brought joy to his soul.  Just to have a conversation with him about an old Chevy would brighten up his day.  To him there was nothing more articulate than a 1949/50 Chevy truck.  Just knowing that his passion will not be forgotten.  When you see an old Chevy think of Robert.   

Visitation services will be at Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral home on Thursday October 14, 2021 from  4-7pm, with a Rosary at 6:00. They are located at 9926 Jones Rd. Houston Texas 77065.  Funeral services is from 11:30-12:30. Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral home will be officiating the ceremony. After that, we will proceed to the cemetery at Earthman Resthaven.  All are welcome to attend the celebration of Robert’s life proceeding services at 15720 Deer Ridge Dr, Conroe, Texas 77306.  The family would like to thank Houston Hospice and friends and family that made his final days comfortable.
