Robert (Bob) D Stroup

Robert (Bob) D. Stroup, age 92, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2020 in the home he shared with his daughter Susan Stroup-Raimond, son-in-law / best friend Randy Raimond, and his constant companion Blu.

Bob Stroup was an amazing man. He was a graduate of Baker University, served in the Marine Corp, a businessman of the highest integrity, an avid golfer, artist, master gardener, woodworker, a Christian, and lover of life. Bob was born in Morrison Colorado but moved at the early age of two to Kansas City, Mo which he considered his home.  Raised by Lula Mae, his single mother, he learned to respect, empower, and nurture women. He honored every woman in his life.

Bob is preceded in death by Gloria his wife of over 60 years, son John Stroup and his brother-in-laws Kenneth Schodde and Allen Schodde. He is survived by grandkids Jonathan Stroup, Annamarie Stroup-Knight, Jake Knight, Tobey Stroup, Emily Mackay Stroup and Mason Stroup, great granddaughters Paisley Jane, Mackaylen Grace, sister-in-laws Carolyn Schodde, Louann Schodde, nephew and nieces Eric Schodde, Karen Schodde, Richard Skipper,  Mike and Kelley-Schodde Church, and Mike, Tammy, Delisa Schodde. In lieu of flowers please think of Bob and do something kind for someone.  Bob would like that.
