Roger A. Marien

Roger A. Marien, age 77, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 in Houston, TX. Roger is preceded in death by his parents Roger and Louise and by his wife, Gloria Ann, who was the love of his life since childhood. He is survived by his sons, Scott and wife, Mary of Oregon, Steven and wife Angela, of Mesquite, his sister, Norita and his grandchildren, Andrew, Aaron and Olive, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

Roger earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from UT Austin. He was Commissioned into the United States Navy as an officer and worked his way up in ranks to Commander. After actively serving in the Navy, he finished out 20 years in the Reserves. In his civilian career, Roger worked for various major companies in Computer Sales, Technology and Bank Auditing.

While their sons were young, he and Gloria Ann were involved in their activities: Indian Guides, Sports, Boy Scouts and band, as well as church.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018 in the fellowship hall of  Christ United Church, Cypress at 14207 Telge Rd. Cypress, TX, 77429
