On Tuesday, July 26, 2022, Sean David Chandler, devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend passed away at the age of 59. He was born in St. Joseph, Michigan on January 29, 1963.
The family relocated to Texas when Sean was around 1 year old. He wasn’t born here but got here as fast as he could. Jersey Village was his new home, graduating in the class of 1981. In his 20s he met Marilyn, the love of his life, and they married in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in her hometown of Hoven, South Dakota in 1993. Sean and Marilyn welcomed their three boys into the world, and he was immensely proud to be their dad. Meanwhile, Sean worked his way up the construction ladder, learning how to build homes. Sean and Marilyn were soon able to start their own construction business together, Swan Creek Enterprises.
Sean loved to play sports and coach, football most of all. He always preached the importance of moving your feet, and applied that mindset in every facet of his life. Saturdays were reserved for college football where he would always root for the underdog. He loved the Houston Cougars and watched every ‘Stros game. The outdoors called Sean by name, whether that be in the deer blind, out on the lake fishing, or just sitting on the backyard swing watching the doves under the birdfeeder. He often remarked that God was most obvious to him in nature. Above all else, he loved his family more than anything, gleaming with pride whenever he got the opportunity to show them off.
Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of twenty-nine years Marilyn; sons Kyle and his wife Kelli, Ryan, and Cory; parents John and Shirley; brothers Kevin, and Brett and his wife Martha; nieces Lauren and Kate; nephews Oliver and Jack; and his grandbaby Kailey.
While Sean is gone from this earth, we know that he has found peace and that we will see him again one day, where he will undoubtedly be telling us again to “Move Your Feet.”
