Shannin Nicole Nickell

Shannin Nicole Nickell, 48,  passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family, on March 11, 2020.

Shannin was born in Everett, Washington to George E. Nickell, Jr. and Susan L. Welch on March 19, 1971.  She attended the University of Houston, Conrad Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management.  Using her education, talent and love of food and wine, Shannin had a delightful and delicious 20-year career in catering and hospitality.  She worked in a variety of Napa and Sonoma Valley venues focusing on weddings and event planning.  Shannin was a stickler for detail and delighted in making and sharing a great meal. 

Shannin is survived by her son Nathan Charles Nickell (14); her partner, David E. Burns; sister and niece, Alicia and Maggie Riddle and her mother Susan Howie. Shannin is also survived by numerous cousins. Shannin is pre-deceased by her father, George E. Nickell, Jr; and grandmothers Reina P. Welch and Margene Nickell.

Memorials may be given to Susan G. Korman or the Cancer Research Institute.
