Sharon B Wisnoski, age 65, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, died on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. Sharon was born in Houston, TX on September 14, 1956. She was married to her husband, Michael, for 41 years. She was a devout Catholic.
Her business career began at First Heights Bank (Heights Savings). Her employment spanned 19 years and she served as Assistant Vice President. From there she was employed by Bisys Corporation in the Electronic Banking Group as an Implementation Coordinator for ATM and debit cards. In 2002, she joined Jack Henry and Associates, where she held the position of Client Relationship Manager for the Passport Division.
On July 26, 2017, Sharon received a double lung transplant due to her Pulmonary Fibrosis. Her transplant journey was not easy. She remained in the hospital for 4 ½ months post-transplant, fighting hard to recover due to multiple complications. We owe great thanks to the physicians and staff at the Houston Methodist J.C. Walter Jr. Transplant Center, Kindred Hospital Houston Medical Center, and Burleigh Health Center & Rehab. They gave us nearly five more years with her.
Sharon is survived by her husband Michael Wisnoski and her three daughters, Michelle Hopf and husband Frank, Holly Long and husband Nathan, and Julie Wisnoski and fiancé Hilton Hardie. Sharon had three grandchildren, Ava Alexandra Hopf, Frank Michael Hopf, and Max Ryan Long.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20 at 5 pm at Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home with a Rosary recital at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 21 at 11 am at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 10135 West Road, Houston, TX 77064 with Father Lawrence W. Jozwiak presiding.
