On January 3, 2021 heaven welcomed our angel Stefan Bryant McCord born April 24,1992. He filled so many lives with joy during his brief 28 years with us.
Stefan was an avid reader with an incredible vocabulary from an early age. He was an accomplished guitarist on the electric, bass and acoustic guitars. He was a gifted writer and had just earned his Bachelors of Arts degree with a major in English and minor in communications from Lamar University in May 2020. Stefan was a blessing to all who knew him with his gentle spirit, kind nature and witty, dry sense of humor which he only shared with those who knew him well.
He is survived by his mother Ellen McCord, father Mark McCord, his younger sister Caroline McCord, his younger brother Maxwell McCord, and his fiancée and soulmate Dusty Parton; as well as his beloved Nana, grandfather and Grammy as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins who loved and adored him as he was the oldest.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in memory of Stefan may do so to the following charities:

If I should go tomorrow
It would never be goodbye,
For I have left my heart with you,
So don’t you ever cry.
The love that’s deep within me,
Shall reach you from the stars,
You’ll feel it from the heavens,
And it will heal the scars.
