Susan "Susie" Dina Justice

Susan Justice, age 65, passed away unexpectedly at North Cypress Hospital in Houston, Texas on July 8, 2020.  She was lovingly referred to as Susie or Susie Q.   

Susie was born in South Bend, Indiana in 1955.  She attended Windford High School in Bucyrus, Ohio.   

Susie started a new adventure and moved to Houston in the early 1980’s.  She later met her love Billy Justice in the early 90’s and and spent the next 20 plus years at each other’s side. They were married on August 9, 2005.

Throughout her life Susie was devoted to animals without homes, specifically dogs.  To quote Susie “I never found a stray I never kept or found a home.”  

Susie was preceded in death by her parents Charles & Edith Basset and husband Billy Justice.   Her loving family include daughters Briana Irby (Frank Glover), Columbus, OH;  Colette Mink (Mickey), Lexington, KY; brother Mike Bassett (Jessie), Ponchatoula, LA; sisters Charlene MacDonald, Livingston, TX; Ruth Basset (Joyce Baker), Upper Sandusky, OH. 

A visitation will be held from 4PM to 6PM Tuesday July 14th at Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home.  A celebration of Susie’s life will begin Wednesday July 15th at 11:30 AM at Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home with burial at 1PM at Houston National Cemetery.
