Vicki Lynn Louis

Vicki Lynn Louis, daughter of the late Thomas Hart and Elizabeth Majsterski was born on October 22, 1971 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

At an early age she moved to Texas with her mother and sister, Emily.

She played volleyball and basketball in middle and high school as a student in Spring Branch ISD. When Vicki was 16, she gained 7 siblings when her mother married her step-father, Jim Majsterski.

Vicki welcomed her first child, Michael with her ex-husband, Michael W.  Louis, Sr., in March 1989. In August 1990, she had her second child, Amanda, while living in Port Arthur, Texas. After moving back to Houston, Vicki had her third child, Aundrea in April 1992.

Vicki began her career in Spring Branch ISD in 2003 at Spring Woods High School. She served the students and staff there in several capacities before transitioning to the Human Resources department for the district. Vicki left the district for a few years to further her education when she became a paralegal. She returned to SBISD where she served as a payroll specialist in the district’s Finance department.

After almost 19 years with the district, Vicki retired in 2019 as the Payroll Administrator. She enjoyed her years with SBISD and cherished the many friendships that formed with her colleagues.

In 2006, Vicki met her life partner, Marcus. Marcus and Vicki enjoyed traveling and spending time together. Throughout their many years together they traveled to Louisiana, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Florida.

They both enjoyed their time as Granny and PawPaw, helping to raise their four grandchildren.

Being a grandmother was one of her greatest accomplishments in life.

She took great pride in spoiling them and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Vicki enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the holidays.

In March 2018, Vicki was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She underwent several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation before having the whipple procedure in November 2018. In May 2019 Vicki and her family received the news that her cancer had spread and was advanced to stage 4. Vicki passed peacefully at home with her family on Friday, October 11, 2019. Her beautiful life will always be cherished by her life partner Marcus, her mother Elizabeth, her children Michael (Mia), Amanda (Catron) and Aundrea (Roland), her grandchildren Amya Jae, Brenden Taylor (Natalie and Nathan), Cameron Michael and Mackenzie Lynn, her siblings Emily, Tom, Cathy, Nancy, Mike, Andy, Joey, Dave, Roxanne, Jason, Cynthia and Quinton (Rachel), her in-laws Theresa and Raymond Sam, her niece and nephews Joshua, Kiera, Kyrin, Kody and Sophia and all of her extended family and friends.
