Virhuido Rios III, 51, of Cypress, Texas passed away on July 29, 2020 at his home due to natural causes.
He was born in Orlando, Florida on November 8, 1968, son of Virhuido and Remedios Rios. He is survived by his parents, two younger brothers, and younger sister. His is also survived by his seven nieces and nephews.
Virhuido started his education at the Immaculate Concepcion Catholic Church in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico. He later moved to Houston, Texas in 1978 where continued at Kaiser Elementary School (1979), Wunderlich Intermediate School (1982), and graduated Klein Forest High School (1986). He completed his education in electronics at ITT Technical Institute in 1988. His computer technical knowledge and abilities were outstanding, working around printed circuit boards, operating systems, and computer programs alike.
Virhuido spent some of his childhood in the Republic of Panama (1969) and the Republic of the Philippines with his family until 1972 while his father served the Unites States Air Force. His family then moved to Clearwater, Florida (1977) until finally moving to Houston, Texas in 1978. Later in his life, he travelled and briefly lived in both China and the Republic of the Philippines.
He grew up a guardian of his siblings, spending most of time playing and watching over them. He developed a passion for reading books and working on electronics. His love for sports started in the backyard playing volleyball with his family, street basketball, and football. A true sports fan, he revered the Houston Oilers. Devastated at their departure, he continued his fandom with the Houston Astros, Houston Rockets and later the Houston Texans. He had an interest in collectible items which included comic books, vintage toys, MAGIC the Gathering cards, and other Chinese arts. Every fall, his favorite pastime was attending the Texas Renaissance Festival. He enjoyed the themes and stories of the event with his friends, including new friendships with those participants who shared similar interests. Another favorite pastime was painting, mainly medieval figurines but also kid figurines with his nieces and nephews. He loved watching movies (including Japanese manga) and playing video games with friends and family. He was also an avid dog lover, reuniting with his dearly departed Corgi, Robert.
Virhuido made many friends and touched many lives with his company and unique sense of humor. He brought out the best in people with his sharp wit and stories. He loved everyone dearly with his big heart and will be missed.
We look forward to the day we will be reunited in heaven and listen to him regale his stories once again.
