William Edward Wadley

William Edward Wadley (Eddie), 49, a resident of Jersey Village, Texas passed away on March 27, 2018 in Houston, Texas.

He was born May 23, 1968 in Baytown, Texas to John A. Wadley, Jr. and Barbara Wadley.  Eddie graduated from Ross Sterling High School where he excelled in scholastics and sports.  His education continued at Lee College in Baytown, and he was a graduate of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas where he received his Bachelor Degree in television and video.

Eddie had a terrible accident at the age of 19.  This tragic accident cost him his leg, but never slowed him down.  As he continued his education he was able to make many positive changes to handicap accessability on campus and off. Eddie was very active in wheelchair sports, particularly racing and basketball.

During his journey he became reacquainted with a high school friend who quickly became his soulmate and the love of his life.  Eddie and Audra were married on April 28, 2003, and they settled into their married life in Jersey, Village, Texas.  They continued their careers while enjoying life with their “kids”.  Their “kids” were the many dogs and cats they surrounded themselves with.  Eddie and Audra enjoyed joining friends and family for festivals, concerts, and family gatherings.

Eddie gathered many friends through his journey who were drawn to him by his kindness, humor, and  his unique style of sarcasm which is a Wadley family trait.  He was never one to turn down a seat at the bar to enjoy a few laughs and conversation over a little libation.

Eddie’s passion outside of his love for Audra was his profession.  He was very successful as a legal videographer.  His professional life was filled with video documentation of cases in and out of the courtroom.  Many times Eddie would be found in his home office editing his videos and putting his final touches on presentations for the legal professionals who greatly appreciated his work and dedication. 

He did not drift far from his profession when it came to hobbies.  Eddie has created so many wonderful memories for friends and family through his craft.  His wonderful video tributes could make you laugh, cry, or remark “Hey, did I really do that?”

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Barbara Wadley.  Eddie is survived by his beloved wife Audra; their “kids”, Aigner, Saxon, and Mala; his brother,  John and wife Robin; sister, Frieda and family; nieces,  Saskia and Sarah;  nephews,  Jonathan, Sean, and Neil.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Pub Zero, 7925 FM 1960, Houston, Texas 77070.
