Xavier Atalig Castro passed away on August 8, 2022 at the age of 50, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
Xavier is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, four children, family, extended family, and friends.
A dedicated spouse, father, sibling, and friend, he often referred to himself as a friend collector. He felt like he could never have enough friends, and found great joy in touching the lives of those around him. A parishioner of St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, Xavier believed in giving back to his community, serving as a Cubmaster and Den Leader for the Cub Scouts of America, and as a board member for the community swim team.
Xavier made lifelong friends while pursuing his education at Fresno State, and later while earning his MBA at UH Manoa. His career took him to several destinations, and he was proud to have served the CNMI as a Director of Finance. His recent role as a Senior Consultant for Zuri Group gave him the opportunity to be of service to others by helping non-profit organizations succeed.
An avid athlete, he was well-known by his friends and family for being passionate about health, nutrition and fitness. If he wasn’t running or hiking, he was often found training for an obstacle course like Tough Mudder or Spartan.
Xavier was caring, courageous, inspirational, easy-going, patient, and could easily bring comfort with a kind smile. He has blessed the lives of so many with his love and compassion.
In lieu of flowers feel free to make a donation in his honor to Make-A-Wish, or a charity of your choice.
