Lila Lee Saunders Musterman passed away on February 13, 2018 from a brief battle with cancer.  Lila was born in Texarkana, Texas on January 18, 1926.  She and her family moved to Houston, Texas when she was 10 years old.
Lila graduated from Jeff Davis High School and then began her career in the Insurance Industry.  She was a member of the Insurance Women of Houston and the Ladies Auxiliary Club of the VFW.  She retired in December of 1999 at the age of 74.  After retirement, you would see Lila with a big smile on her face and a fishing rod in her hand.  She also spent her time Cooking, Gardening with her Flowers and hugging and loving on her Collies, "Millie" and "Collie" and her little  PBGV Dog "Annabelle"....all the while with her perfectly painted nails and lipstick on. Most days she was with her Best Friend, Love and Pride of her life, her daughter, Sandy.  When you saw one of these girls, the other was close behind.  Lila was full of Sunshine, Laughter, Love and told the best jokes ever.  When Lila walked into a room, the fun began.  She lit up the room with those big bright and twinkley blue eyes and great big smile.  Lila was preceeded in death by her parents, Lee Saunders and Lillian Saunders.  She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Sandy) Musterman Scherer and husband Robert Scherer.  Niece, Annette Dykema Woodward and husband John Woodward.  Great Nephew, Russ Sims, Great Niece, Cindy Lattanzio and husband Chris Lattanzio and son Jack Lattanzio.   Grandchildren, Rachel Scherer, Miranda Scherer, Garret Scherer and wife Allison Scherer.  Great Grandchildren, Rebecca Baxter, Jessica Baxter, Walker Scherer and Callie Scherer.  We are very grateful for the Love and Care from Traditions Hospice Team and Avista Healthcare (Hannah & Hank).

 Lila's life will be celebrated with a Memorial Service led by Pastor Larry Maddox of Central Baptist Church on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home, 9926 Jones Rd., Houston, Tx.  77065.
